Time for Less is More

onsdag 30 mars 2011

Hello!
This time I knew exactly how my card would look like when I started.
And for once, I think my Less is More cards are really good. I'm not so good at this technique as you know. What do you think?

I have used:
Sentiment : Create with TLC
Embossing pouder: Clear
Stickles: Star Dust
Spellbinders Nestabilities: Classic Hearts/ Classic Scalloped Hearts
Ribbon and Pearlstring: Purchased for Christmas in my local grocery store.

Hope you have a great Wednesday!
Hugs, Birgit.

The Sweet Stop Challenge

måndag 28 mars 2011

Hello! It is a lovely weather here today, the sun is shining and it´s beautiful outside,
even if it´s not so warm yet.
It´s time for a new challenge over at The Sweet Stop and I´ve made a card.

I have used one old (15 years? maybe more.) Rub - on transfer witch I thing I once bought from Panduro.
Actualy I forgotten it for a long time ago, and now I found it the other day in a old box.
Of course I immediately wanted to use it for a card.

Thanks for your visit today!
I wish you all a wonderful week ahead!
Hugs, Birgit.

Spring is Sprung

söndag 27 mars 2011

Hi everyone!
For todays card the theme is about Spring.

And I have used the sketch over at Sketch Saturday for my sweet Tilda stamp.

She is colored with Copics and then the dress got some twinklings "Heavenly White" over it, for a shiny look. Then I added a little bit Stickles Platinum and Diamond.
I dyed my seam binding whith Peeled Paint reinker. Then I made a Pin with some beads on it.

The lovely papers I have used is from PION design - sagan om våren and INKIDO - beige butterfly.
The sentiment is from StampingScrapping and the little tag was cut with a spellbinders tag die. For the leaves I have used my Punch, and the  flowers are from Wild Orchid, and the butterfly from Panduro.
A little bit of lace, twine and a handmade photo corner finished off my sweet spring card.

I enter this card into the following Challenges:
Totally Gorjuss - Spring is Sprung
Just Magnolia - Bingo ( Gems, Distressed Edges, Pin)
Scrappy Frogs Challenge - Flowers and Lace
The Shabby Tea Room - Bingo (Punch/Die, Embossed Edges, Ribbons,Flowers,Gems,Glitter, Lace)

Hope to see you back soon, and thanks so much for stopping by today.
Hugs, Birgit.

A Fun Masculine Card

fredag 25 mars 2011

Hi there!
Finally Friday, can´t belive how fast time flies!
This is the last day of the challenge over at Less is More, so here are finally my contribution this week.
And today I´ve done a funny card for a man with a little bit of humor.
It says: "First you forget names, then you forget faces. The next step is that you forget to pull up his fly and finally you forget to pull it down." (I hope it was translated correctly)

Crackle Accent....

Whishing you all a lovely Friday!
Hugs, Birgit.

Lenas Bicycle

måndag 21 mars 2011

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a lovely weekend.
Here in the family we have right now winter vomiting disease. It is not so funny, I say!
I'll still try to show you my last card, that was inspired by Lena's nice bike picture.

I wanted to keep the "flower power" feel of the colors and the theme - the bike.

I used the sketch over at Sketch Saturday, and I have written the sentiment on my computer.
It says "There is so much fun to live, because then you can see how it goes".

Do you like my bicycle? Is it not cool?

Papers are from Laura Ashley, and other products used includes buttons, flowers, ribbons, pearls, butterflies etc. comes from my stash.

And the inside....

This was so fun to do. I usually do not use these bright colors for my cards. (I was only missing the "psychedelic mushrooms" från the 1960 - century. ha, ha ...)

I enter this card into the following challenges:
Stamp with Fun - Spring (It is the time you take out your bicycle for the season, and the colors.)
Kreativen Stempelfreunde - Spring (see above)
Totally Gorjuss - Button it
Wags´n Whiskers - Spring (see above)
Phindys Place - Hot Stuff, Warm Colors, Sunshine
StampARTic - Spring and Easter

Thanks so much for stopping by today, hope I will be recovered for another day.
Hugs, Birgit.

I have written the sentiment on the computer.

Different flowers and ribbons etc. from my stash.
Stickles - Star Dust and Platinum

The inside...

Vintage Round Card

torsdag 17 mars 2011

Happy to see you here again!
I found myself in the mood for one more round card.
And I found a round sketch over at Waltzing Mouse to use,
and then I "borrowed" the colors from Sketchy Colors challenge - Grey, White and Puple.

I have used papers from Maja Design - Ska vi ta en fika.
The flower I made by a thicker band / string with a metal wire inside, so that I could bend it.
Then I put a brad in the middle.

For the rest I have used:
Spellbinders,Stickles, Sewing machine, (my sewing machine is very old and it is not so good anymore, but we struggle on together.) Lace, Seam binding, Pearls, Metall (star and wings), Stamp from StampngScrapping and certainly some more that I forgot to mention.

Maybe my card suits to Totally Gorjuss challenge also - Pearls and Lace
And Tuesday Throwdown - Lace. I think i´ll try with that.
Sist men inte minst Lenas bloggsida - färg utmaning, jättekul!

Thanks for looking!
Hugs, Birgit.

Off the Edge

tisdag 15 mars 2011

Hello all you lovely blogging folk, I´m sitting here listening to a bit music.
I must turn up the volume cos it makes me long for summer...
The theme this week on the Less is More Challenge blog is...
One Layer Card -"Off the Edge".

This time I wanted to experiment with a round card,
and another totally adorable stamp from Stampavie - Laurence Collection.

I have colored with soft colors, because it is SPRING!

Sorry that the photos are not tip-top, super-duper-truper good.
Have a fabulous evening.
Hugs, Birgit.

Monday and another card from me

måndag 14 mars 2011

Hello, and welcome back!
You´re just in time to see what I have made for this weeks challenges at Fluorishes Bring Back Beautiful and Sketch Saturday.
I have only used neutral shades for my creation, hope you like it.

The papers I have used are from Laura Ashley and from my lokal craft store, (bought on sale).
There I also bought the fine leaf lace.
I colored the cat with my Copics.

I punched out a lot of leaves,
which then got some Stickles on itself to create a frosted look.

All the other stuff, comes from my stash.

I can´t help but think of Japan, and the people there.
Our thought and prayers are with you in Japan.
Hugs,Birgit.
